God continues to bring us together as we honor and promote the performing arts in the greater Wilson community. I know you will be pleasantly surprised by what you are about to witness during this video performance. These communal activities fall under the umbrella of Summerville Promotion and Production Company along with Tall One Outreach Ministries. These constituencies, 501c3 non-profit organizations, and Summerville Promotion & Production Company have goals to build a solid, arts foundation that will serve all ages and ethnicities. Thus, it is through new innovative outlets, and a particular focus on showcasing diverse talents throughout the community, that we epitomize global exposure. This particular public forum will give all interested residents an opportunity to reach their full potential while building their personal confidence, social and communication skills.

Wilson Idol is designed to honor individuals who are greatly venerated in our community and epitomizes outstanding talent. This event showcases performances exhibited through song, instrumentation, and the spoken word. Wilson Idol opens the doors for many participants and exposes them to the greater Wilson Community and beyond.

It is also our intent to encourage students to stay in school (graduate), and to further their education. Therefore, the ultimate goal is to decrease dropout rates and increase graduation rates through this unity in community event through.

The multi-Grammy Music Award-Winner and Raleigh, North Carolina, Pastor Shirley Caesar will once again be the legendary celebrity judge for regional east Carolina’s talent search produced by  the Summerville Promotion and Production Company and Tall One Outreach Ministries called the, Wilson Idol.  The Wilson Idol 2020 talent search which identifies and provides financial and professional tech support for regional Unsung Heroes, Icons, and Super Stars.

Dr. Summerville is the founder of Tall One Outreach Ministries, Inc. a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization equipped with a host of diverse and 21st century “mission-oriented” divisions serves the public in areas of good-humored arts & entertainment projects, educational readiness and enrichment programs, financial services, and the Wilson Idol to galvanize and encourage diverse intergenerational talent appreciation.

The goals and objectives of the Wilson Idol, Summerville Promotion and Production Company are to build a future for solid foundations for the presentation of wholesome arts and humanities in the Wilson County areas. We provide (as appropriate with health policies and safety standards) public forums for all residents of Wilson.

The Wilson Idol goals are:

  • To encourage all Wilson County residents, especially students, to remain in school and to pursue their personal interests in the performing arts, which may lead to global exposure as well as self-gratification.
  • To showcase diversity through the performing arts and to provide a public talent expedition for all interested persons, which allows them to reach their full potential in comprehensive learning.
  • To encourage religious organizations, private corporations, and other businesses to collaborate and partner with  Summerville  Promotion, Production Company in providing innovative activities than affect the performing arts for the City of Wilson, N.C. and the surrounding areas.

According to Dr. Summerville, “It is our philosophy to build a solid Arts Foundation, which serves all ages ranging from ages three years old and up. It is through these new and innovative outlets that we focus on the importance of  Performing Arts that have the potential to foster comprehensive, intellectual, social, and emotional development for all individuals.”

The top performers will be given an opportunity to perform for Pastor Shirley Caesar, Queen of Gospel.

The Grand Prize Winner will also

  • be given a part in the staged-production of the award-winning gospel play entitled, Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child. This Gospel Drama is written and produced by Dr. Mildred Summerville. All winners will be featured in the Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child Award-winning Gospel Play and Wilson Idol Souvenir Booklets,

The Goals of Wilson Idol

Includes the ability to:

  • Inspire all Wilson County residents, especially students, to remain in school and to pursue their personal interests in the performing arts, which may lead to global exposure as well as self-gratification.
  • Display diversity through the performing arts, and to provide a public talent expedition for all interested persons, which allows them to reach their full potential in comprehensive learning.
  • Implore religious organizations, private corporations, and other businesses to collaborate and collaborate with Summerville Promotion, Production Company in providing innovative activities than affecting the performing arts for the city of Wilson, N.C. and the surrounding areas.

Synonymously, Summerville Promotion and Production Company’s goals and objectives rest on the premises of building a solid art foundation and providing a public forum for all residents of Wilson. While focusing on the development of  “The Total Person,” our company seeks to enhance the global aspect of performing arts and includes sharing the stage with renown gospel artists, such as Pastor, Shirley Caesar,  Leanne Faine, Dr. Brooksie Harrington, and Shawn McLemore. Thus, it is through these new and innovative outlets that we seek to create educational, financial, and artistic performance opportunities for Wilson County youth and adults.

Empowering the youth will help to facilitate personal development while strengthening their home, school, and community relationships. Summerville Promotion and Production Company is a community effort that strives to increase the overall potential of success in public schools. Further, this production intends to inspire the community and encourages parents to collaborate with our company and assist with performing arts opportunities.

 

 

 

 

TALL ONE CHAMPION’S AWARDS

The Tall One Champion Awards Program is the adult division of the Wilson Idols talent competition. This program which was started in 2015 honors individuals for their hard work, perseverance, and meritorious contributions to their communities. The chosen honorees have impacted their communities through various educational initiatives such as performing arts, education, ministry, community services and outreach ministries.
